SMB frustration with booking platforms
A global survey commissioned by Marriott Bonvoy® and conducted by Wakefield Research among business travelers from small and medium-sized companies in the US, UK, Canada and Mexico reveals that 75% of respondents are frustrated with the travel booking platforms they use. Furthermore, of these travelers, 56% find these platforms difficult to use, 27% regret not being able to book transport and hotels in the same place, and 27% are dissatisfied with the lack of integration with their travel expense management programs. This new solution includes travel policy management tools, enabling managers to define guidelines, manage expenses and track carbon emissions. To develop its Business Access program, Marriott has teamed up with Spotnana, an emerging player in the business travel sector. Thanks to the integration of Spotnana’s APIs, users can easily compare, book and modify their reservations. The platform can also automate the generation of expense reports and use virtual bank cards for payments, optimizing expense management. In addition, travelers benefit from discounted rates on all hotels and the advantages of the Marriott Bonvoy program. Participating companies can reach higher status once they have passed certain usage thresholds, offering their employees the benefits of the different levels of Marriott Bonvoy Elite status.
