The beginnings of Monapass
Described as “a real Swiss army knife for Monégasque mobility”, Monapass was launched in 2021. A multimodal application developed by the Flowbird group, a global player in mobile parking payment solutions. What makes it special is that it can be used to plan, book and pay for a range of mobility services, including buses, bicycles, car-sharing vehicles and on-street and private parking spaces.
A range of features that will enable Monapass to rank among the most comprehensive MaaS applications in France. But Monapass has no intention of stopping there. Flowbird has just announced a partnership with Extended Monaco to make everyday life even easier for Monegasques.
The start of a new era
Enjoying leisure in Monaco has never been easier. After integrating ticketing for cinemas, tourist buses and the Oceanographic Museum, the Monapass application now offers access to ticketing for a wider range of cultural and entertainment destinations. Users now have access to ticket offices for :
- The flats of the Prince’s Palace: Users can book their tickets directly from the app, avoiding queues and saving precious time.
- The Sovereign Prince’s Car Collection: By booking their tickets via Monapass, users can organise their visit at their convenience, choosing the date and time that suits them best.
- The Zoological Gardens: Thanks to the Monapass application, visitors can now purchase their tickets for the Zoological Gardens with the greatest of ease. All they need to do is click a few times to get their tickets.
- Monet exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco: Monapass users can buy their tickets for this exhibition directly from the application.
This multi-service integration has already been adopted by other MaaS applications, such as JakLingko. An intermodal application launched on the megalopolis of Jakarta, which has gradually diversified its mobility offering by integrating ancillary services. Like Monapass, these include access to bookings for cultural events, as well as payment of health insurance or electricity bills… A perfect illustration of a new trend that is taking shape…
