TIER Mobility expands its coverage on Google Maps

The world leader in shared micro-mobility after only 5 years of activity, TIER Mobility boasts a fleet of more than 50,000 active scooters in nearly 80 European cities, including 35 in Germany. A physical expansion is also reflected in the digital world, by partnering with the giant Google, more precisely on the Google Maps service…

TIER and Google, long-times friends

As a reminder, in July 2021 the two companies announced a partnership in 10 European cities: Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Zurich, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. TIER indicated that other cities would follow later in the year. This was the case for London at the end of 2021. In their latest LinkedIn post, they have just announced their integration in more than 200 cities by the end of 2022. Thus, users will be able to find all electric scooters, bikes, scooters in the Google Maps application. It will also display the cost of a trip, the duration and the remaining battery charge of local scooters, scooters, bikes.

By collaborating with one of the leading navigation applications, we are extending access to TIER to more passengers, giving them better and greener options for navigating the city.

This is not the first time !

It’s been a year since we published an article on this “partnership” between these two behemoths. However, TIER has partnered with many other applications such as: Bonjour RATP, GAIYO or HVV Switch as previously mentioned in our article. But that’s not all, in search of more partners, TIER has also integrated new mobility platforms throughout this year 2022. This is the case with the applications of MVG, the Munich public transport company, the well-known rental company Sixt, and the Dutch MaaS application 9292. It’s a safe bet that TIER will continue to multiply over the years… Stay tuned to our blog for the next TIER collab.
