“Attractive and discounted”
Such are the adjectives used in the IDFM press release to describe this new offer. The aim is to discourage the purchase of the usual daily and weekly passes, which will not be sold during the 2024 Olympic Games. But how? By offering a new dematerialized travel pass that will run from July 20 to September 8. A date range corresponding to one week before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games and the closing ceremony of the Paralympics.
This Paris 2024 pass has been designed to simplify the tourist experience as much as possible, but also to limit queues and allow ticket agents to focus on passenger information and flow management. Not selling tickets.

This Paris 2024 pass will give access to all transport services in the Ile-de-France region, including connections to the airport. It will cost 16 euros for one day, 30 euros for two days, 42 for 3 days, etc., rising to 70 euros for the week. Although this rate will be reduced by one euro per day, the weekly rate will be multiplied by 2 (currently 30 euros).
200 million euros to recoup…
That’s the investment estimated by IDFM to increase the number of metros and trains by 15% during the 2024 Olympics. A considerable increase in its transport offer, aiming to adequately accommodate the 10 million tourists expected. Valérie Pécresse is particularly concerned about this, and has taken steps to set “the right price”.
There’s no question of Francilians paying this cost. Subscribers with a monthly or annual Navigo pass, an Imaginaire R pass or a senior pass will not be affected by these increases.
